As a Process Manufacturing Technician, you will control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. This position is located in Beloit, WI and you need to able to work 1 month day shift and 1 month night shift.

- You will perform physical field work and operating equipment through automated programs (DCS)
- You will prepare fermentation and downstream equipment in accordance with SOPs, this includes equipment setup, media make up, equipment cleaning, packaging, etc.
- Collect samples during manufacturing process for analytical analysis.
- Prepare and follow all steps for standard and evolutionary batch processes by following prescribed batch records, noting observations on production conditions within the batch with the area engineer.
- Collect and review all batch records. Relevant batch data includes in process data input and trending, among other items.
- Coordinate day-to-day departmental activities, including manufacturing scheduling conflicts, coordinating equipment maintenance and installation activities, troubleshooting process upsets such as equipment and instrumentation issues, process optimization, or addressing other production related concerns
- Maintain the upkeep of the Fermentation Plant equipment through the process of initiating work notifications/work orders and maintenance scheduling; Use your own tools to correct minor maintenance issues is encouraged. This also includes assistance with maintenance activities such as rebuilding valves, working on pumps, etc.
- Interface with Engineering, Maintenance, QAQC, and Site Leadership to solve production problems
- Create & Modify SOPs for new processes or operations as needed.
- Ensure production compliance with EH&S guidelines and requirements.

- Experience in manufacturing for at least 6 months

- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication to assist in working collaboratively within a team
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively through tasks with minimal overhead management direction to execute required work
- Computer experience with MS Office suite
- Willing and able to do moderate to heavy stair climbing. Moderate climbing of vertical and mobile ladders, along with the ability to work above floor surfaces (heights) and lift up to 55 lbs.
- Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required - including a respirator
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating (days/nights) shifts, including weekends and holidays

Annual Range salary: From $65,000- to $75,000
