Description

We are seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer Project Manager - Wastewater PM to join our team! You will be responsible for the design and development of intelligent systems and industrial systems control. The Candidate shall have a PE license in Maryland /Virginia/DC (any one of the states and/or another state with ability to do reciprocity for MD/VA/DC)

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineer shall have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering,
  • Five years of experience performing engineering design related functions for water and/or wastewater facilities owned by municipalities or regional water and/or wastewater authorities.

  • Shall be capable of performing principal level mechanical engineering work in the field, plant and/or office; and is required to work independently.

  • Shall be registered as a Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland/Virginia/DC (any of the three states).

  • Proficiency in the use of tools such as Project Management Information system (PMIS) such as Unifier, e-Builder etc. (not a requirement but good to have)

  • Shall provide technical reviews of general and mechanical-specific content of submittal packages. A design submittal package may consist of technical analyses, design criteria reports, contract plans and specifications and/or related documents.

  • Shall review contract drawings to ensure details are shown and are sufficient

  • Shall review contract drawings for adequately designed and detailed equipment bases/supports

  • Shall review contract specifications for proposed mechanical systems, equipment and materials for sufficiency and for probable, good durability and long-term reliability

  • Shall review / respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and development of field orders for Construction project

  • Familiarity with CAD or other related software
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
