Can you turn an isometric into a flawless run?

If reading isos, planning a route with or without prints, and navigating jobsite obstacles sounds like your craft, you’ll fit right in as our Process Piping Installer.

What you’ll be doing

  • Interpreting sketches, arrangement drawings, and isometric drawings for accurate layout and fit-up.
  • Cleaning, beveling, preparing, and installing pipe with correct fittings and weld joints.
  • Laying out systems and installing lines—print or no print—while accounting for obstructions.
  • Rigging and moving pipe, valves, and fittings safely around the site.
  • Installing pipe, related materials, and equipment to spec.
  • Inspecting work areas to identify challenges before installation.
  • Cutting with grinders, band saws, and beveling torches; threading on a machine.
  • Anchoring piping to structure using brackets, clamps, and hangers with hand and power tools.
  • Loading, transporting, and unloading tools, equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Helping lift, position, and secure materials during installation.
  • Keeping tools and equipment in top working condition.

Where you’ll apply your skills

Industrial process and utility systems using carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC, HDPE, and copper; valves, fittings, specialties, and associated components.

Must-haves

  • Strong safety mindset and adherence to PPE: safety glasses, face masks, gloves, work boots, harnesses, and any site-required equipment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and work overtime when required.
  • Proficiency with a pipe threader, burning torch, grinder, porta-band, chain falls, hand tools, fork trucks, and high-reach equipment.
  • Effective communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.

Physical capabilities

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Hand coordination for tool handling and control per established procedures.
  • Comfort with repetitive movements typical to fitting and assembly.
  • Capability to climb and access steel framework, ladders, and elevated areas.

Background

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–7 years of industrial pipefitting experience.

Legal

  • Possess valid identification to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
