Responsibilities:
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and adhere to a Safety-First culture at all times.
- Identify opportunities for process, safety, and operational improvements and provide feedback to leadership.
Equipment Operation
- Operate separator machines and load-out systems using touchscreen and automated controls.
- Monitor system performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal, safe, and efficient operation.
Quality Control
- Perform routine quality testing by weighing and analyzing ash samples.
- Adjust separation processes as needed to meet product quality specifications.
Material Handling & Load-Out
- Load dry bulk tanker trucks using automated systems, ensuring accurate weights and correct product delivery.
- Load railcars in accordance with operational procedures, minimizing product loss, dust, and spillage.
- Verify shipping accuracy and maintain proper documentation.
Maintenance Support
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, including separator machine performance and system breakdowns.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, belt changes, and oil checks.
- Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs as needed.
Communication & Teamwork
- Maintain clear, timely communication with the Plant Supervisor and team members.
- Provide shift handoff updates to ensure continuity of operations.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers, customers, and site personnel in a professional and positive manner.
Administrative Accuracy
- Ensure accurate data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting.
- Maintain attention to detail in all operational and documentation tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic computer experience is required (Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
- Basic understanding of how to operate basic hand tools.
- Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions and relay instructions to follow-on shifts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Physical job requirements include working outdoors with exposure to heat and cold, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights as well as lifting up to 25 pounds.
