Responsibilities and Qualifications:
- Locate and personally serve legal documents, such as Subpoenas, Notices, and Summons and Complaints, upon individuals involved in insurance claims relating to liability, uninsured motorist, disability, etc.
- Take detailed notes regarding service efforts to be used for compilation in a written report
- Utilize dictation/Dictaphone technology to dictate efforts into a written report
- Attempt to personally meet with and serve legal documents upon individuals
- Verify and attest to the outcome of service efforts by signing and notarizing legal Proofs
- Be well-organized with strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Chrome
- Possess strong communication skills and be able to speak with others comfortably
- Have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Be an individual our team can rely on for punctuality
- Possess exceptional composition skills fit for a professional environment
- Reside in the state of Michigan, preferably within the southeast Michigan area
Legal Qualifications:
· All applicants must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license.
Special Notes:
- Data Surveys, Inc. provides on-the-job training
- Hourly compensation
- This is a part-time position, but could occasionally exceed 36 hours in a week dependent on caseload
- This is a hybrid position, meaning you will report to our home office located in Howell, Michigan weekly but be able to set your own schedule to meet specific deadlines
