Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $30 per hour W2

Overview

We are seeking experienced Process Technicians to support advanced semiconductor failure analysis and materials characterization in a high-tech cleanroom environment. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in SEM, EDX, FIB, TEM, or STEM tools, particularly in semiconductor or microchip manufacturing. Relevant experience in biological or medical environments may also be considered if the technical imaging and sample-handling background aligns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, image, and document nanostructures related to semiconductor devices
  • Manage sample queues and analysis instructions from engineering teams
  • Prepare small samples by hand cleave, micro-cleaver, and tweezers under a microscope
  • Perform imaging and analysis using SEM, TEM, STEM, FIB, EDX, and EELS tools
  • Communicate imaging and compositional results to engineering staff
  • Support development and optimization of sample preparation and analysis techniques
  • Train new users on sample preparation and analysis equipment
  • Update and maintain training and certification documentation
  • Contribute to continuous operational and process improvement initiatives
  • Support fab operations as needed

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Physical Science or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience with SEM, EDX, FIB, TEM, and/or STEM tools
  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred
  • Candidates from biological or medical industries with relevant microscopy and sample-preparation experience may also be considered
  • Hitachi SEM experience preferred
  • Hitachi or ThermoFisher non-automated FIB experience preferred
  • ThermoFisher TEM experience preferred
  • Strong manual dexterity and experience handling samples smaller than 5mm using tweezers
  • Experience takes priority over education
  • Must have unrestricted right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable handling very small samples and tools under a microscope
  • Able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear required PPE for extended periods
  • Able to bend, stoop, climb, and lift/carry up to 35 pounds
  • Able to walk long distances and climb stairs during 12-hour shifts
  • Must be able to work compressed work week night shift, including weekends
  • May require occasional overnight travel for training or support
