Process Technician

Our client in the Auburn Hills area is  seeking a Process Technician to join their team. As a Process Technician you will be responsible for operating, maintaining and troubleshooting molding equipment and processes to ensure efficient production.

Job Title: Process Technician

Location: Auburn HIlls 

Pay Range: $30 to $32

Shift: 2nd & 3rd

What’s the Job?

Set up and operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment according to production schedules and specifications.
Monitor production processes, adjusting as needed to maintain product quality and maximize efficiency.
Perform tooling adjustments, and machine adjustments as required to support production requirements.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Work collaboratively with production team members to identify and implement process improvements, including cycle time optimization and waste reduction initiatives.
 

What’s Needed?

• 2-3 years experience in plastics manufacturing with a focus on injection molding processes.
• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in plastics, processing or related field is preferred.
• Hands on experience operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment with knowledge of mold setup and troubleshooting techniques.. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues effectively
