Process Technician

Title: Process Tech (Apprentice)
Reports To:  Production Supervisor
Status:  Full Time/Hourly (40 hrs/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals)

Ability to perform repetitive tasks                                            
High School diploma or equivalent                                           
Motor coordination, manual and finger dexterity
Basic Computer skills

Job Summary 
To run quality plastic parts to fill all production and work orders.

Essential Job Functions

To set-up and maintain production lines and maintain process stability throughout the production run.
Complete X and R charts and top half of check off sheet.
Run quality plastic parts to fill out all existing production and work orders.
Fill out extruder heat setting charts.
Perform production order sign-off responsibilities.
Mylar tracings of profile – optical comparitor.
Use of reflective eye (electronic)
Follow lockout / Tagout procedures.
Relieve packers when necessary, initial packer slips when relieving.
Change extruder screens.
Test run new extrusion dies and fabrication dies when requested.
General housekeeping.
Other duties as assigned.
Follow Scanning System.
Follow 5S procedures. 
Follow SMED procedures.
