The Process Technician will become an expert in raw material and equipment preparation, equipment operation, equipment maintenance, and finished goods management in support of pilot trials and saleable production runs.

Job Duties

• Monitor and maintain ingredient inventory in the warehouse and batching areas, ordering raw materials as needed.
• Support shipping and receiving activities for incoming ingredients and outgoing finished products.
• Set up, operate, disassemble, clean, and sanitize production equipment, tools, and measuring devices safely and efficiently.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and batch test ingredients while documenting lot codes for traceability.
• Keep pilot and laboratory workspaces clean, organized, and stocked with materials stored in designated locations.
• Perform equipment and meter calibrations as required.
• Assist with pilot trials and saleable production runs by operating equipment, collecting samples, recording data, batching materials, packaging products, and palletizing finished goods.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve processes and production efficiency.
• Provide backup support for basic quality assurance tasks, including pre-operational checks and recording product weights and temperatures.
• Manage and maintain freezer inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
• Follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) while supporting a safety-focused work environment.
• Complete all work with precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of proven work experience in a lab or manufacturing setting
• Ability to follow written work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
• Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical assembly, machinery operation, and material preparation
• Strong problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills needed
• Basic mathematical skills preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Process Technician.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Flexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high-growth work environment
• Able to work in an environment for extended periods of time while maintaining food safety protocols.
• Operating in cold room environments is frequent.

What You Will Do

As a Process Technician you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

Pilot & Production Readiness ? Assist in maintaining adequate ingredient supply within warehouse/batching area, ordering raw materials when needed ? Assist with shipping and receiving of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products ? Assemble, run, disassemble, clean, and sanitize equipment, measuring devices and other tools safely and efficiently ? Measure, weigh, and batch specific test ingredients in a very precise and careful manner, recording ingredient lot codes for tracking purposes within batching applications ? Maintain clean, tidy, organized, efficient pilot and lab spaces in support of team operations. Put items away in designated storage areas. ? Calibrate equipment and meters if necessary Pilot & Saleable Production Operations ? Support Process Engineering, Maintenance & Quality in executing pilot trials and saleable production runs, which may include operating equipment, preparing samples, recording data, batching, weighing, packaging, palletizing, etc. ? Work with Process Engineering, Maintenance and Quality team on proactively improving processes ? Serve as backup as needed for basic Quality team responsibilities in pilot and production runs (i.e. pre-op, recording product weights, temps, etc.) ? Support freezer inventory management of all raw materials & finished goods ? Maintain a safety-first culture and follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) while on the production floor ? Approach all tasks in a meticulous and careful manner with little margin of error ? Perform any additional duties, tasks, and/or responsibilities as assigned
