Process Technician - Plastics Manufacturing - Base Salary to 35.00/hour - Lancaster, PA

• Our client, a growing plastics manufacturing company in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking a Process Technician to support injection molding operations. This hands-on role is responsible for material handling, mold setup, machine processing, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance activities to ensure efficient production and quality standards are achieved.
• This position is ideal for individuals who have progressed through roles such as Material Handler, Mold Setter, Setup Technician, or Injection Molding Technician and are looking to further develop their technical expertise within plastics manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and process injection molding machines for production runs
• Install, remove, and change molds in injection molding equipment
• Perform mold changes and machine startups while ensuring proper processing parameters are established
• Monitor machine performance and make process adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency
• Verify correct resin and material types for each production run
• Monitor material levels and coordinate replenishment to minimize machine downtime
• Record, verify, and maintain processing parameters including temperature, pressure, cycle time, and other production data
• Troubleshoot molding processes, equipment, and quality issues to maintain continuous production
• Perform basic preventive maintenance activities on molding machines and auxiliary equipment
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in injection molding and/or plastics molding operations
• Demonstrated experience performing mold changes, machine setup, and equipment troubleshooting in an injection molding environment
• Experience with material handling activities within a manufacturing setting
• Ability to establish and adjust molding process parameters
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and participate in group discussions
• Ability to read, record, and document processing information accurately

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 30.00 - 35.00/hour range
