This position takes direction from the rubber manager to coordinate with production /sampling needs. The Process Technician develops the design of new products and helps to cost the jobs according to manufacturing processes and tooling required. The Process Technician ensures all processes are documented.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluate process performances in existing toolsOptimize material utilization through process and improve scrap reductionValidations in conjunction with Quality on new molds and samplingCreate standard processes for new productsFollow internal / external validation protocols to qualify new moldsIdentify employee training needs and communicate to Dept. ManagerMaintain good housekeeping and EHS requirementsPerform other related duties as assignedEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School graduate or GEDCompression Molding a plus3 to 5 years of related experienceGood communication and organizational skillsGood math and written skillsAbility to enter data in computer system accurately and timely.WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must have the ability to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 40 pounds. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter controlled air conditions with frequent air changes, environmental exposure.
