Processing Clerk – Accounting / Financial Operations

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Processing Clerk to support financial operations through data entry, batching, settlement processing, and reporting activities. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, basic accounting knowledge, and the ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
Position Overview
The Processing Clerk will be responsible for handling financial transaction processing, performing data entry and reconciliation activities, assisting with reporting, and responding to internal customer inquiries. This role requires a strong attention to detail, comfort working with spreadsheets and financial calculations, and the ability to research and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform high-volume data entry, batching, and settlement processing functions
• Apply basic accounting knowledge including debits and credits during transaction processing
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial and operational reports
• Research and resolve processing discrepancies, issues, or internal inquiries
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to financial transactions
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet/database tools to track and process information
• Support daily operational deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
• Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding account or processing questions
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic accounting knowledge including understanding of debits and credits required
• Previous experience in data entry, financial processing, accounting support, or clerical operations preferred
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform financial calculations accurately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
