This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Shifts Available: 1st shift

Compensation: $22.60/hr.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Accurately input performance and production downtime data into the system
• Collect product samples and conduct quality checks in accordance with established standards
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to support material handling
• Use end loaders to fill salt hoppers, load trucks, transferring salt into inventory
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to reduce downtime
• Re-palletize and properly dispose distressed products
• Execute changeover procedures
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications:

• Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
• Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice?
• Experience operating a front-end loader
• Experience operating forklifts
• Experience working in a production related work.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
