What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we cant sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

America's Thrift Stores is currently hiring for two Processing Team Member positions: Miscellaneous Pricer and Tagger. These are fast-paced, active roles focused on preparing merchandise for the sales floor while maintaining quality and production standards.

Processing Team Member (Miscellaneous Pricer)

The Miscellaneous Pricer is responsible for pulling pre-sorted merchandise to the pricing station, assigning categories, and accurately pricing sellable items according to company guidelines. Team members will inspect merchandise for quality, sort priced items into designated bins, assist with wholesaling non-sellable items, and move merchandise to the sales floor following merchandising standards.

Processing Team Member (Tagger)

The Tagger is responsible for accurately attaching price tags and size indicators to merchandise while ensuring items are organized and retail-ready. This role focuses on maintaining accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring merchandise meets company quality and merchandising standards.

Qualifications & Requirements (Both Positions)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Must follow all PPE and safety guidelines
• On-the-job training provided

These positions may require weekend, evening, or holiday availability as needed. Additional duties may be assigned to support business needs.
