YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Processor Sales Representative opportunity in our Merriam, KS office. In

this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the sales team. The Processor Sales

Representative manages a product category, focusing on achieving sales targets, developing new

business, maintaining customer relationships, and resolving customer issues. This role also

collaborates internally with scheduling, customer service, transportation, and production teams to

support overall business performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and sell fresh and frozen pork while managing daily inventory with Scheduling personnel.
  • Coordinate production with plant scheduling and supervisors.
  • Evaluate customer formulas and yields to optimize sales performance.
  • Analyze market supply/demand conditions and provide cash market insights.
  • Collaborate with production and QA to resolve customer complaints regarding product specifications.
  • Manage freezer inventories and sales in your area.
  • Crosstrain and provide coverage within the processor sales team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

Required:

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Experience in processor, industrial, or retail sales required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional communication and telephone skills.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • High ethics and integrity.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Animal Science, Ag Economics, Meat Science, Business or

Marketing.

  • 1-2 years of experience in protein industry sales or related roles.
  • Knowledge of pork product specifications and plant operations.

SCHEDULE

  • Regular business hours (7 to 5) with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
