The Vacancy

A Procurement Administrator manages the procurement process for an organization, ensuring goods and services are obtained efficiently and cost-effectively. This includes tasks like purchasing materials, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the entire procurement cycle. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and Execution:

Developing purchasing strategies, identifying potential suppliers, and managing the procurement process from start to finish. 

  • Negotiation and Contracting:

Negotiating contracts, purchase orders, and work orders with suppliers and vendors. 

  • Supplier Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and optimal pricing. 

  • Financial Oversight:

Ensuring that procurement activities align with budgets and managing expenditures. 

  • Compliance:

Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and policies. 

  • Documentation and Reporting:

Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts. 

Essential Skills:

  • Negotiation: Effectively negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Communication: Clearly communicating with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
