Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: Rosemead, CA-Hybrid Mon & Tue Onsite
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $39/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)
Duration: 12+ Months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities / Workload
• Assist in driving innovation, improving ways of working, and enhancing supplier management systems.
• Assist in executing purchasing and sourcing strategies to address short-term and long-term material requirements and achieve purchasing performance metrics for timely delivery, quality, and cost.
• Assist with analysis to support risk resolution and gap identification.
• Participate in negotiations to achieve best value and commercial terms and conditions for moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, requests for proposals, and contracts/agreements.
• Assist in training peers and stakeholders on procurement processes.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted business partner.
• Assist in identifying critical suppliers and developing engagement plans to proactively manage supply chain risks and continuous improvement.
• Understand supplier positions, desired outcomes, and leverage points, and establish structured negotiation plans with clear objectives.
• Ensure the protection of physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and properly manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Required Skills / Attributes
• Three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and/or contract management.
Desired Skills / Attributes
• Experience using SAP software in a purchasing environment, including Ariba Sourcing, Contracting, and P2P modules.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, policies, procurement contracts, and standard terms and conditions.
• Experience with industry best practices, standards, utility regulations, procedures, and compliance related to purchasing.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and analyzing information to make strategic decisions regarding scope, impact, policy, development, and implementation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentations, formal correspondence, contractual documentation, and negotiations.
• Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
• CPM, CPSM, CPCM, CCCM, and/or PMP certification(s).
Education Requirement
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
