DESCRIPTION

The Procurement Agent I supports procurement activities for direct materials within a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for assisting with purchasing, supplier coordination, and contract execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and supply chain standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support procurement activities for direct materials, including purchase orders, change orders, and requisitions
  • Conduct basic price and cost analysis to support purchasing decisions
  • Assist with supplier selection, bid evaluations, and request for proposal (RFP) processes
  • Maintain and manage procurement documentation, contracts, and records
  • Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery timelines
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve procurement issues
  • Support supplier audits and assessments as needed
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships and resolving conflicts
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field
    OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
  • Basic understanding of procurement principles, financial analysis, and supply chain processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SAP ECC (materials management, purchase orders, requisitions, change orders)
  • Familiarity with procurement systems such as Ariba
  • Experience managing source lists, outline agreements, or supplier data
  • Exposure to RFP processes and supplier negotiations
