Summary This position exists to execute the procurement and acquisition of supplies, equipment, and services by using established policies and procedures to perform purchasing and contracting activities for an appropriate quality of products and services for Parkview Health.
Education Requires an Associates degree in business or related area or equivalent experience to be able to perform the job. A Bachelors degree is preferred.
Licensure/Certification For the Food Nutrition department, the Procurement Agent must have ServSafe Certification or be able to obtain within the first 60 days and renew every 3 years.
Experience Purchasing experience is preferred. General purchasing experience should include: • Supplier relations • Pricing analysis • Product sourcing
Other Qualifications Demonstrates facilitation skills, ability to work in a team environment, ability to be detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task. Must have good computer skills, including: • Microsoft Office Word • Basic Excel
Must have good organizational skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
