Procurement Agent
Position Type: Temporary
Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Hybrid; onsite Mon/Tues)
Assignment Length: Approximately 12-Months, possibly longer.
DESCRIPTION The Procurement Agent I supports procurement activities for direct materials within a dynamic operational environment. This role is responsible for assisting with purchasing, supplier coordination, and contract execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and supply chain standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support procurement activities for direct materials, including purchase orders, change orders, and requisitions
- Conduct basic price and cost analysis to support purchasing decisions
- Assist with supplier selection, bid evaluations, and request for proposal (RFP) processes
- Maintain and manage procurement documentation, contracts, and records
- Monitor supplier performance related to cost, quality, and delivery timelines
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve procurement issues
- Support supplier audits and assessments as needed
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in managing supplier relationships and resolving conflicts
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field
OR equivalent combination of education and experience - 0–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
- Basic understanding of procurement principles, financial analysis, and supply chain processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SAP ECC (materials management, purchase orders, requisitions, change orders)
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as Ariba
- Experience managing source lists, outline agreements, or supplier data
- Exposure to RFP processes and supplier negotiations
