POSITION TITLE: Procurement and Logistics Manager
SALARY RANGE:
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director, Food and Nutrition Services
OVERVIEW:
Leads all procurement, ordering, inventory, and food-cost management for the District's Food and
Nutrition Services. Supports training on procurement and logistics to all staff. Supports regular school
visits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Own all procurement and ordering for the District, including vendor coordination, contract
compliance; maintain inventory accuracy and food-cost targets across all schools.
? Visit kitchens experiencing inventory, ordering, or budget concerns; conduct on-site inventory
audits and provide on-site manager support and training on best practices.
? Work closely with the Dietician to plan menus and commodity usage.
? Work closely with the FNS Director in financial planning and forecasting.
? Works with the Secretary to run inventory reports and data management.
? Ensure all procurement activities comply with the IDOE procurement guidance, and District
policy.
? Perform other duties as assigned by the FNS Director.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, nutrition, or related field preferred, or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Minimum five (5) years of procurement, purchasing, or food
service operations experience, including supervisory responsibility (preferred). Working knowledge of
federal procurement regulations under 2 CFR Part 200 and USDA Child Nutrition Program rules. Strong
analytical, negotiation, and vendor-management skills. Valid driver's license required.
