Job Title:  Procurement Category Manager 5
Location:  Remote 
Salary Range:  $60/hr to $65/hr on W2 

Introduction

The Procurement Category Manager is responsible for purchasing machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, or services necessary for the operation of an establishment. The role involves optimizing suppliers, approving purchases, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to the Client Data Center environment.
  • Experience of working on high-impact energy infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals, and other technical data.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and general contractor management.
  • Prior work experience in energy infrastructure such as substations, power generation, renewables, and general contractor management.
  • Approve purchase orders and solicit bid proposals.
  • Instruct staff on resolving issues related to undelivered goods.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance for compliance.
  • Work from home, run RFPs, meet virtually with contractors, and process change orders.
  • Support project execution for active energy projects and travel once a quarter to site.
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and P6 if applicable.
  • Additional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Review and optimize suppliers based on various factors.
  • Approve purchase orders and solicit bid proposals.
  • Instruct staff on resolving issues related to undelivered goods.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance for compliance.
  • Work from home, run RFPs, meet virtually with contractors, and process change orders.
  • Support project execution for active energy projects and travel once a quarter to site.
