FieldBridge is looking for a Procurement Category Specialist in Houston, TX. We offer weekly pay + benefits.

$31.25 - $40.87/hr | Day Shift, Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Weekly pay every Friday | OT eligible | At $40.87/hr and 50 hrs/week, earn weekly paychecks of approximately $2,350.53 gross.

Bachelor's degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field). Hiring process: 1st round virtual, 2nd round in-person. Temp-to-hire position. Expected full-time on-site for first 30–60 days; hybrid possible based on performance.

Position Overview
NOV's Corporate Procurement Team in Houston is seeking a Procurement Category Specialist to lead strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in MRO sourcing, RFP/RFQ execution, and contract negotiation. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, manufacturers, and distributors to drive value and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for assigned procurement categories
  • Prepare and execute RFQs and RFPs; negotiate pricing, discount structures, and commercial terms
  • Conduct supplier analysis and market research to identify cost-savings opportunities
  • Analyze spending patterns and develop data-driven sourcing plans
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and align on business needs

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in oil and gas
  • Experience with strategic sourcing for MRO categories
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Oracle (Cloud or EBS), JD Edwards, or Glovia preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
