This position, in a highly dynamic organization, offers a broad range of opportunities to launch your career in public service.About This RoleAs the Procurement Coordinator you are responsible for supporting and managing the end-to-end purchasing process within an organization. This role ensures that goods, services, and supplies are sourced, ordered, and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement standards.Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED.3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.PreferencesProven experience processing and tracking purchase orders (POs)Strong experience communicating directly with vendors and suppliersAbility to accurately maintain and update procurement records and databasesExperience performing invoice matching and reconciliationExperience supporting sourcing activities such as gathering supplier information and comparing quotesWorking knowledge of ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsSpecial RequirementsBackground checks, which may include, but are not limited to, criminal history checks, credit history checks, education verification checks, license verification checks, and/or fingerprinting, may be required as posted in the job advertisement. Effective October 2012, mandated by the Virginia state Board of Health 12vac5-31-540, VA EMS regulations require a criminal background check conducted by the central crime records exchange and the National Crime Information Center via Virginia State Police, and a driving record transcript from the individual's state department of motor vehicles.Work ScheduleThis is a non-exempt, 37.50-hour-per-week, Monday-Friday position, with normal working hours between 8 am and 4:30 pm.
