Job Description Summary
The Procurement Engineering Manager is responsible for driving the successful sourcing strategy and supplier execution for MR New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from concept through launch.
This role plays a critical part in supporting high-visibility "lighthouse" MR NPI programs (including Rhea and Magnus), requiring strong technical and sourcing leadership across early design, supplier selection, and production readiness.
The NPI Sourcing professional will develop a competitive and resilient supply base that enables GE HealthCare to deliver new products on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
A strong engineering foundation is required for success in this role and will not be developed on the job.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within a highly regulated industry (medical device strongly preferred).
Proven experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, with hands-on involvement from concept through launch.
Strong technical understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality systems for complex devices or equipment.
Demonstrated success in supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.
Experience driving cost optimization through DFM, DFS, and/or should-costing methodologies.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
