Procurement Finance
System One is partnering with a client seeking a Procurement Finance Business Partner to serve as a key financial partner to the sourcing and supply chain teams. This role will provide data-driven financial analysis and insights to support procurement decisions, cost management, and overall business performance.
The Procurement Finance Business Partner will play an important role in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis related to direct materials and procurement activities. This position will also support cost reduction initiatives, improve financial visibility, and help drive operational efficiency through accurate reporting and actionable insights.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with sourcing and supply chain teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support purchasing decisions and cost management initiatives.
- Analyze direct material spend, purchase price variances, cost trends, and other key financial metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and month-end close activities related to procurement and material costs.
- Prepare and present financial reporting comparing actual results against budget, forecast, and prior-period performance.
- Track and evaluate cost reduction initiatives while providing visibility into realized and anticipated savings.
- Develop and enhance financial reporting processes to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
- Identify financial discrepancies and business issues, recommend solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on streamlining financial processes, reporting, and data analysis.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain environment preferred.
- Advanced degree and/or relevant professional certifications preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Ability to connect procurement and sourcing activities to financial performance and overall business results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to work with large data sets, identify trends, and develop meaningful financial insights.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective relationships with sourcing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process efficiency and reporting enhancements.
