An internship with Heidelberg Materials is a unique experience. What You'll Be Doing
Assist with procurement projects within the strategic sourcing team across key categories.
Support supplier data analysis to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
Support with RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluations, and sourcing events.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and procurement insights.
Support the preparation and maintenance of monthly strategic sourcing reports and key performance metrics.
Conduct market research and benchmarking to support sourcing initiatives.
Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation with accuracy.
Participate in negotiations, supplier meetings, and project discussions as appropriate.
Develop and present recommendations based on data analysis and business needs.
What Are We Looking For
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Mining, Energy Management, or a related field.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Curiosity about emerging procurement trends and technologies, including AI and its applications in sourcing, spend analytics, supplier management, and procurement automation.
