Job Summary:
Our Procurement Interns will support and learn hands-on through data analysis, sourcing initiatives, supplier management activities, and continuous improvement projects within a global heavy-manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will collaborate with procurement professionals, operations leaders, finance teams, and suppliers to help improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and support strategic business objectives.
You have: (required)
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor''s Degree in: Supply Chain, Business or Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Graduation date of late 2027, 2028 or May 2029.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous internships in supply chain or procurement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and other 365 products.
- Familiarity with PowerBI
- Knowledge of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
- Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement principles.
- Experience working with large data sets and business reporting tools.
In this role, you will:
- Support sourcing and procurement projects through research, analysis, and data collection.
- Analyze purchasing, spend, and supplier performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and supplier performance initiatives.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Support procurement process improvement and standardization efforts.
- Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and documentation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving procurement, operations, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Review procurement transactions and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Support category management and strategic sourcing activities, including market research and supplier evaluations.
- Present project results, recommendations, and findings to procurement leadership.
