Scope of Position


Coordinates from jobsite, the administrative and technical work related to ensuring projects are supplied with the materials, equipment and services needed to function optimally.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Procures supplies, equipment, services and furnishings throughout the course of the project through new contracts, competitive bids, or established contracts.
  • Plan and coordinate time and delivery of purchases.
  • Assess requests from goods and services by ensuring they are allowable under limitations, restrictions and policies and determining availability of funds.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and maintain databases to track expenditures.
  • Identify and keep lists of vendors and sources of supply for goods and services.
  • Interpret P&ID diagrams and plan drawings to create material and instrument lists.
  • Communicate with Field Supervisions and Pipefitters to ensure proper selection of fittings for specific applications.
  • Travel as required.
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed.

Education & Years of Experience


High school diploma or GED, 1-3 years of experience in a construction, industrial, or warehouse setting. Exposure to record-keeping, vendor communication, and specification sheets.

 

Qualifications

  • Forklift, Boom Lift, and Scissor Lift Certification (OSHA or employer-provided training)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (for general construction safety awareness)
  • Assist with general labor to support project goals.
  • Operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Basic Computer & Inventory Management Training
  • Blueprint & P&ID Reading Training

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements


While performing the duties of this job, team members may be required to visit alternate locations and therefore must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to do so. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The team member is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
