    Description

    The Procurement Manager – Battery Energy Storage & Solar will lead the strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and supplier management of equipment supporting utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies that optimise cost, quality, schedule, and project performance across battery storage and solar technologies.

    The ideal candidate will combine commercial expertise, technical understanding, and strong negotiation skills to manage procurement from sourcing through contract execution while partnering with engineering, construction, development, legal, and project teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead end-to-end procurement for utility-scale battery storage and solar equipment
    • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, schedule, and risk
    • Manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, commercial analysis, and vendor selection
    • Negotiate supply agreements, pricing, and commercial contract terms
    • Oversee equipment supply contracts, logistics, quality assurance, and related services
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and contractors
    • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain developments
    • Provide procurement guidance and cost analysis during project planning
    • Collaborate with engineering, construction, legal, finance, and development teams
    • Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
    • Develop procurement reporting, market intelligence, and performance metrics
    • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and systems
    • Present commercial recommendations and procurement strategies to leadership
    • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies and project schedules

    Key Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field
    • 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience within energy, construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure
    • Experience procuring battery storage, solar equipment, or other complex technical equipment preferred
    • Proven success negotiating high-value commercial contracts
    • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management
    • Ability to evaluate commercial, contractual, technical, and logistical factors
    • Knowledge of utility-scale renewable energy or EPC projects is highly desirable
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
    • Authorised to work in the United States
