This is a remote role, with a preference for candidates in Atlanta, GA.Remote Flexibility – Work from anywhere in the U.S. (Preference for Atlanta-based candidates).Impactful Work – Lead procurement for nationwide BAS and controls projects, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Career Growth & Competitive Pay – We value expertise and offer compensation that exceeds industry standards.Cutting-Edge Industry – Work on projects that push the boundaries of smart building technologies and automation.Responsibilities Vendor & Contractor Management Identify, onboard, and manage electrical contractors (ECs) and system integrators (SIs) across different regions to support BAS and EPMS projects.Build and maintain a national contractor database to ensure reliable and repeatable partnerships.Develop strategic vendor agreements to secure preferred pricing and service levels for BAS materials, instrumentation, control valves, and field devices.Establish backup vendor options for key services, such as panel fabrication and system integration, to mitigate supply chain risks.Monitor vendor performance, compliance, and adherence to contract terms, ensuring high-quality execution and reliability.Procurement Strategy & Estimating Support Collaborate with estimating and project teams to provide accurate pricing insights for materials, labor, and services.Assist in bid preparation by evaluating supplier and subcontractor proposals, negotiating pricing, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Provide regional procurement insights, ensuring pricing aligns with local labor laws, licensing requirements, and material costs.Support preconstruction planning by developing procurement roadmaps that align with project timelines and objectives.Compliance & Licensing Oversight Ensure that procurement and subcontracting processes comply with national and state regulations, including low voltage and general contractor (GC) licensing.Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to verify contractor licensing requirements and streamline the approval process.Stay informed on changes in industry regulations and procurement best practices, ensuring compliance across all projects.Process Improvement & Strategic Sourcing Continuously refine procurement workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve vendor selection.Explore opportunities for national EC agreements, creating scalable and repeatable sourcing strategies.Implement procurement tracking tools and reporting mechanisms to monitor cost trends and vendor performance.Develop and maintain evaluation criteria for vendor selection, ensuring long-term partnerships with top-performing contractors.Requirements Experience – 8+ years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, specifically in building automation, construction, or engineering.Industry Knowledge – Strong understanding of BAS, EPMS, ICT, electrical contracting, and regulatory compliance.Vendor Negotiation & Relationship Building – Proven ability to secure competitive pricing, manage contracts, and foster long-term vendor relationships.Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with procurement software, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).Education – Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).Communication & Leadership – Strong ability to manage procurement processes independently, interface with clients and vendors, and support hiring efforts.Travel Requirement Up to 15% travel for vendor meetings, site visits, and industry conferences.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
