Position Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 Base Salary

Their products and services help customers maintain highly specialized industrial equipment used in mission-critical operations around the world.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Leadership

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with operational, financial, and service delivery goals.
• Lead, mentor, and support procurement and purchasing personnel while driving accountability and performance.
• Establish scalable procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
• Serve as a key escalation point for supply chain issues impacting repairs, overhauls, and customer commitments.

Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Oversee sourcing and purchasing activities for industrial and mechanical components.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships focused on quality, responsiveness, delivery performance, and long-term value.
• Lead supplier negotiations involving pricing, contracts, service agreements, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate supplier performance metrics and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate closely with engineering, repair operations, planners, warehouse teams, and field service leadership.
• Support technical sourcing decisions, BOM accuracy, and procurement alignment with operational schedules.
• Ensure material availability supports repair execution and field service commitments across North America.
• Partner with finance on forecasting, budgeting, invoice resolution, and cost-control initiatives.

Inventory & Process Optimization

• Drive inventory planning and materials management strategies balancing operational responsiveness with cost efficiency.
• Support inventory accuracy, replenishment strategies, cycle counts, and root cause analysis activities.
• Analyze spend data, procurement trends, and supplier performance to identify cost savings and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ERP system integrity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience within industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or technical service environments.
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring procurement or supply chain personnel.
• Strong understanding of industrial mechanical components and technical purchasing environments.
• Experience supporting industrial repair operations, aftermarket services, or field service organizations preferred.
• Proven supplier negotiation experience with demonstrated success improving supplier performance and driving cost savings.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and mechanical specifications.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Huntington Beach, California.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within Client, cryogenic, industrial gas, energy, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial industries.
• Background supporting highly technical aftermarket repair or service operations.
• Experience driving procurement transformation or process optimization initiatives.
• Strong inventory management and materials planning expertise.
• Exposure to global supplier management and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000–$140,000

On-Target Earnings (OTE) / Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonus potential
