LTC is a new road that will connect Kent and Essex through a tunnel beneath the River Thames and will be the greenest road ever built in the UK - creating six times more green space than road. The reliable new route will almost double road capacity over the river east of London to reduce congestion and give millions of people more choice on where they live work and spend their valuable time. You will be working in the Commercial Services EF based in Pilgrims Lane where we are responsible for driving commercial transformation across Skanska UK and create smarter ways of working that unlock value strengthen partnerships and set us up for long-term success. We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager who will manage the procurement of allocated subcontract packages for Lower Thames Crossing ensuring that each package is procured in accordance with Skanska policies project governance and client requirements. As the Project Manager you will Manage the procurement of allocated subcontract packages from strategy development through to tender evaluation recommendation negotiation award and mobilisation. Develop clear package procurement strategies setting out the proposed route to market supply chain approach tender process evaluation criteria commercial considerations risks and approval route. Lead tendering activity for subcontract packages ensuring tender processes are fair compliant well-managed and aligned with Skanska procedures and project requirements. Work with internal stakeholders to ensure scope programme commercial requirements technical information and evaluation criteria are sufficiently developed before packages are taken to market. Engage with the supply chain to understand market capability capacity constraints opportunities pricing trends and innovation. We are looking for Experience of procurement within construction infrastructure civil engineering or a related project environment. Experience managing subcontract package procurement from strategy through to tender recommendation negotiation and award. Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess tenders challenge assumptions and make clear recommendations. Working knowledge of subcontract forms procurement governance and commercial principles ideally within an NEC-based project environment.
