    Description

    Elite Corporate Solutions is currently recruiting a Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Inventory Management on behalf of a leading maritime transportation company. This position will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory management programs, and driving procurement process improvements across the organization.
    This role will play a key part in identifying cost-saving opportunities, implementing sourcing strategies, optimizing inventory levels for vessels and barges, and ensuring the effective management of supplier contracts and procurement performance.

    What You'll Do
    • Support the development and execution of the company’s Procurement Strategy, Procurement Plan, and long-term sourcing roadmap.
    • Conduct spend analysis and category reviews to identify sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Lead strategic sourcing projects from opportunity identification through implementation and supplier integration.
    • Develop and implement supplier management programs, including supplier segmentation, performance measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Create and maintain Approved Vendor Lists (AVL) and supplier performance scorecards.
    • Establish and manage inventory strategies for critical boat and barge parts across multiple warehouses, shipyards, and operating locations.
    • Optimize inventory levels through forecasting, inventory analysis, critical spare parts identification, and Just-In-Time (JIT) strategies.
    • Align ERP inventory records with physical inventory and ensure inventory accuracy across locations.
    • Support contract implementation, compliance, renewals, modifications, and supplier negotiations.
    • Monitor procurement KPIs and provide recommendations to improve procurement and inventory performance.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement efficiency, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and process standardization.
    • Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives.

    What We're Looking For
    • Bachelor’s Degree required.
    • Minimum 5 years of procurement leadership and hands-on procurement experience.
    • Maritime industry experience strongly preferred.
    • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and category management.
    • Strong inventory management experience, including inventory planning, optimization, and control.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
    • Experience performing spend analysis and implementing sourcing strategies.
    • Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
    • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
    • Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.
