Procurement Operations Manager Responsibilities

• 
  
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Purchasing Coordinators
• 
  
• Oversee daily purchasing operations and ensure departmental needs are met
• 
  
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives that reduce material and service costs
• 
  
• Manage vendor pricing, contract negotiations, rebates, and volume-based incentives
• 
  
• Consolidate purchasing across multiple regions and business units
• 
  
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal operational teams
• 
  
• Benchmark supplier pricing across regions, markets, and product categories
• 
  
• Identify alternative products, suppliers, and sourcing methods to generate cost savings

• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, availability, and service

• Approve new material and service vendors

• Source new vendors and explore alternative procurement channels

• Implement purchasing controls, standardized workflows, and supplier performance metrics

Qualifications for the Procurement Operations Manager

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• 
  
• Minimum of seven years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management experience
• 
  
• At least three years of experience managing procurement across multiple business units, operating companies, or geographically dispersed locations
• 
  
• Demonstrated success negotiating regional or national contracts that resulted in measurable cost savings
• 
  
• Experience leading centralized purchasing functions while supporting decentralized operations
• 
  
• Strong background implementing purchasing controls, supplier metrics, and standardized procurement processes
• 
  
• Experience with an ERP system such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• 
  
• Proven vendor negotiation, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
