Job Title: Procurement Project Manager
Location: Remote (NJ)
Duration: 05+ Months on W2 contract

Role Description
The Procurement Project Manager is responsible for leading strategic procurement projects and operational initiatives across Employee Benefits and Talent Acquisition services, supporting business priorities through effective project delivery, supplier management, sourcing, contracting, and stakeholder engagement.
Working across Procurement, HR, Finance, Legal, and external suppliers, the role manages multiple concurrent workstreams including RFPs, contract renewals, supplier transitions, separation activities, and business transformation initiatives.
The role requires a highly organized and results-oriented professional with strong project management, executive communication, analytical, and procurement capabilities who can drive alignment, manage complexity, and deliver measurable business outcomes in a global environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or support RFI, RFP, and supplier selection activities, including requirements gathering, evaluation criteria development, supplier assessments, stakeholder alignment, and recommendation preparation.
  • Coordinate complex, cross-functional projects involving Procurement, HR, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, and external suppliers.
  • Collect, consolidate, validate, and analyse data from multiple countries, suppliers, and stakeholders to support sourcing decisions, business cases, and executive recommendations.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, governance materials, status updates, and decision documents for senior leadership review.
  • Support contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, Statements of Work (SOWs), supplier transitions, and contract separation activities.
  • Drive project governance activities including milestone tracking, risk management, issue resolution, dependency management, decision logging, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support Employee Benefits and Talent Acquisition sourcing initiatives Outside of the US (OUS), including Benefits Broker, Benefits Consulting, RPO and other HR service categories where required.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and implement operational efficiencies across Procurement-led initiatives.
  • Support divestitures, business separations, supplier transitions, and carve-out activities associated with Employee Benefits and Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams while ensuring delivery against timelines, business objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage day-to-day operational, functional, and project management activities related to the procurement of Benefits and Talent Acquisition.
  • Provide ongoing Client Synthes separation activity support and coordinate related procurement and operational activities.
  • Manage additional Benefits and Talent Acquisition engagements outside the U.S. (OUS), including administration and renewal of individual SOWs tied to separation initiatives.
  • Support employee benefits business requests by driving procurement efficiencies.
  • Provide ad hoc procurement and project management support for initiatives such as:
    • Category strategy development
    • Monitor savings delivery targets
    • Remediation of payment term issues
    • Process improvement initiatives
    • Track and report procurement project milestones, business outcomes, risks, savings opportunities, and operational performance metrics to leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate combines strong project management and procurement expertise with experience supporting HR categories such as Employee Benefits and/or Talent Acquisition. The candidate has a proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate global stakeholders, support RFPs and supplier evaluations, perform detailed data collection and analytics, develop executive communications, and drive contract management and supplier governance activities. Experience with Benefits, Brokerage, Consulting, Talent Acquisition, RPO, supplier transitions, separation activities, or divestitures is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating independently, influencing stakeholders across functions, and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a global environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Typically requires 8-10 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, Supplier Management, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and business functions.
  • Experience supporting or leading RFI, RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and sourcing initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Employee Benefits programs, Benefits Brokerage, Benefits Consulting, Pension, Health & Welfare, Talent Acquisition, RPO or related HR service categories preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement operations, contract administration, supplier governance, and sourcing methodologies.
  • Experience supporting contract negotiations, renewals, supplier transitions, contract separations, MSAs, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Proven ability to collect, analyse, validate, and communicate complex data sets and business insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Experience preparing executive presentations, business cases, governance updates, and recommendation materials for senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced, global, and highly matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects through ambiguity, manage competing stakeholder priorities, and influence decision-making without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with global teams across EMEA and other international markets preferred.
  • Experience supporting divestitures, carve-outs, business separations, supplier transitions, or transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
Working Hours Requirement
This role supports leadership and stakeholders located across different timezones including EMEA. To ensure effective collaboration and overlap with European business hours, candidates must be willing and able to work regularly between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) as part of their normal working schedule.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $44.91-49.41 per hour.
