The Department of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a skilled and collaborative Procurement Recovery Surgeon to join its world-renowned Liver Transplant Surgery program. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-volume transplant center dedicated to excellence in patient care, innovation, research, and surgical education.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform abdominal organ recovery from deceased donors, including liver, pancreas, and small bowel grafts.
Participate in donor organ assessment and determination of organ quality for transplantation.
Perform back-table preparation and reconstruction of liver, pancreas, and small bowel allografts.
Support organ procurement for research initiatives and preservation of marginal donor organs.
Teach and mentor surgical residents and fellows in organ procurement and back-table preparation techniques.
Salary Range: $88,900- $190,300
