Procurement Representative II

Job Description What''s it like to work for the Battery Technology Center (BTC)? We are a small group of engineers, engineering technologists, technicians, and additional support staff dedicated to delivering for our customers on a variety of power solutions projects.

The Procurement Rep II position will require the following key duties:

• Support the response to requests for purchasing materials, including writing, submitting, tracking, monitoring and controlling purchase requests and collecting all associated documentation related to the purchasing process
• Aid in tracking all on-going materials requests for the program, monitoring statuses and helping maintain proper documentation
• Develop a strong understanding of the purchasing process, coordinating with the program's procurement team to adequately plan for upcoming purchase requests
• Help maintain high quality documentation throughout the entire procurement process
• Understand and back-up key vendor relationships to ensure quality deliverables and expedite the purchasing process
• Participate in monitoring material use trends and needs and provide recommendations for material purchases
• Provide support for all internal/external calibration services for test and engineering equipment, e.g. environmental chambers, test equipment, etc., helping maintain accurate calibration records
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities will include key duties, as well as excellent communication with coworkers and management; consistent, timely performance for all deliverable activities assigned; adherence to safe warehouse and laboratory practices, as directed; maintaining a strong teamwork mentality, with the ability to adapt to a rapid work environment with multiple projects on-going at a time; and a responsive attitude toward all other duties assigned.Required Education, Experience, & Skills High School Diploma and 1 year work experience or equivalent experiencePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experienced with BAE Systems business applications, e.g., Deltek Costpoint, concur, etc. for generating purchase orders along with knowledge of company processes and procedures for purchasing materials, services and equipment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41844 - $66952

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
