Associate Category Manager – Procurement (Hybrid) Franklinton, NC (Hybrid) $28.00/hour Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Associate Category Manager to support strategic procurement initiatives and supplier management activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to grow their sourcing, supplier relationship management, and supply chain expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of direct materials and procurement projects.
Support sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier approvals.
Conduct market research, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
Assist with procurement strategies focused on cost optimization and risk mitigation.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery metrics, and supply continuity.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams.
Support forecasting activities and raw material budgeting.
Monitor procurement KPIs including lead times, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
Assist in resolving supply issues and ensuring uninterrupted material availability.
Support procure-to-pay processes and operational purchasing activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, purchasing, or category management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Experience working with suppliers, contracts, and procurement systems preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
