Procurement Specialist - Up To $40.87 Per Hour SAVARD Personnel Group is hiring a Procurement Specialist to join a leading oil & gas client in Houston, TX! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive pay and the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule after successful completion of training. Pay: $31.25-$40.87 per hour (DOE) Location: Houston, TX (77042) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Overtime: Not expected Duration: Temp-to-Hire Job Duties
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for MRO materials and services.
Execute RFQs and RFPs while evaluating supplier proposals.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Analyze procurement data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Manage multiple sourcing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize procurement systems to manage contracts, supplier performance, and purchasing activities.
Requirements
Associate's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in the oil & gas industry.
Experience developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies for MRO.
Experience executing RFQs and RFPs.
Strong contract negotiation experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with Oracle Cloud/EBS, JD Edwards, or Glovia.
Must be able to work onsite full-time for the first 30-60 days before hybrid eligibility based on performance.
