Procurement Specialist

The
Procurement Specialist plays a key role in sourcing, contracting, and purchasing the goods and services required to support deepwater drilling, completion, and workover activities within the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. This position ensures that procurement activities are executed efficiently, competitively, and in alignment with corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and implement sourcing and contracting plans for drilling, completion, and workover scopes.
• Lead pricing and commercial discussions to secure competitive terms.
• Create and manage purchase orders and service orders for all project-related materials, rentals, and services.
• Maintain contract records, track milestones, and report progress against sourcing plans and project schedules.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Assist with procurement needs for production operations and other categories as assigned.
• Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as business needs evolve.

• 7+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in complex operational environments.
• 4+ years of direct experience in the oil & gas industry, ideally with exposure to deepwater operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Operations Management.
• CPSM or similar professional certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of oilfield equipment and services, including subsea systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams/SharePoint, and related digital tools.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
• High personal organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Demonstrated reliability and ownership of deliverables.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
• Collaborative mindset with a track record of generating practical solutions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

• Ability to work in a standard office environment using typical office equipment.
• Capacity to maintain focus and accuracy despite interruptions.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for file or equipment handling.
• Occasional visits to outdoor storage yards or warehouse environments to review equipment conditions.
