Reporting to Director International Procurement Based in Houston, TX.
The role is responsible for developing and executing EPC category strategies, selecting the appropriate delivery model (EPC, EPC wrap, or EPCM), and leading supplier sourcing qualification and performance management for renewable energy projects. It works cross-functionally to support project delivery, risk management, cost optimization, and contract strategy while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
What will you do?
• Define and execute EPC category strategies and delivery models based on market conditions. • Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to drive cost savings, quality, and innovation. • Lead supplier pre-qualification, selection, and performance management using structured scorecards. • Build and manage strategic, ethical supplier relationships and promote X-ELIOs brand in the market. • Collaborate with engineering, project finance, risk, compliance, and legal teams on specifications, contracts, timelines, and risk mitigation. • Lead executive-level meetings for supplier selection negotiations and contracting strategies. • Support EPC tendering processes and provide commercial input into project bids. • Develop category plans, KPIs, dashboards, and continuously improve sourcing and contracting processes. • Ensure regulatory sustainability and internal procurement compliance.
What do we need?
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Masters preferred. • 5-7 years of experience in purchasing, contract, or category management, including at least 3 years with EPC contracts in the US preferably Texas. • Strong construction management oversight experience ideally in solar PV, wind, or battery storage. • Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies and the EPC project lifecycle. • Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management. • Strategic thinking and planning. • Supplier relationship and performance management. • Strong commercial, financial, and negotiation skills. • Risk management, compliance, and project awareness. • Data-driven decision making and stakeholder influence.
