Senior Procurement Specialist

Contract Length: Through December 31, 2027
Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days per week in person
Work Location: Hybrid | 3 days per week in person (80 Park Plaza, South Plainfield -[ 4000 Hadley Rd, and/or Plainfield Gas - 40 Rock Ave) Note: the contractor will be required to work at a combination of both locations; one day (Thursday in Newark) and 2 days in South Plainfield

Senior Procurement Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Analyst to support procurement activities for a Capital Projects portfolio, with a focus on Construction Services. This role manages sourcing and contracting for Civil, Electrical, and Architecture/Engineering (A/E) services while supporting planned and emergent operational needs.

Senior Procurement Analyst Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction services, materials, and related project requirements.
• Lead supplier identification, qualification, strategic sourcing, and competitive RFP processes.
• Analyze bids and supplier proposals and negotiate commercial terms.
• Develop and administer contracts, purchase orders, renewals, and recurring contractual commitments.
• Integrate technical scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate internal subject matter expert reviews and procurement approval protocols.
• Support material and service planning for planned and emergent work.
• Serve as a procurement Subject Matter Expert and apply sourcing expertise across business units as needed.

Senior Procurement Analyst Qualifications

Critical Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree (BS/BA) plus 5 years of procurement or supply chain management experience.
• Experience analyzing supplier proposals and negotiating materials and services agreements.
• Experience incorporating scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver s license and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ariba, SAP, CLM, or other ERP/procurement systems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience working effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Demonstrated history of stakeholder satisfaction.

The Senior Procurement Analyst will bring strong skills in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, negotiation, and construction services procurement.
