Procurement Specialist

Pay Range: $25–$32 per hour, based on experience
Location: Lanco Integrated

At Lanco, you’re not managing supply chains for commodity widgets. You’re sourcing specialized components and materials for one-of-a-kind custom automation systems - machines that make products that are used in hospitals, defense, and consumer products across 30+ countries. Every build has unique requirements, tight timelines, and high stakes. That means procurement here is never routine, it’s strategic.

We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist who knows how to move fast without sacrificing quality or relationships. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Planning to make sure the right materials arrive at the right time, and you’ll build the supplier partnerships that make that happen consistently.

What You’ll Do

Procurement & Purchase Orders
  • Source and procure materials and services from outside vendors to support Engineering and Manufacturing schedules.
  • Issue, enter, and expedite purchase orders; maintain accurate PO records and proactively communicate supply issues to keep projects on track.
  • Request competitive quotes and evaluate bids on cost, quality, and delivery.

Supplier Relationships
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure the best possible cost and delivery terms.
  • Assist in reviewing and executing vendor contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Track supplier performance and drive improvement plans where needed.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with assigned suppliers.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on material requirements and procurement decisions.

Inventory & Reporting
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning/scheduling to prevent shortages.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and run rebalance and procurement reports on a regular, timely basis.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on purchasing or procurement experience actively sourcing and buying materials, not primarily shipping, receiving, or inventory management. Manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Global Shop Solutions, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work through supply chain challenges independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple open orders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications (CPP, CPSM, or CSCP) are a plus but not required.
