Job Title: Production - Producer I / Associate Producer 
Location:  Burbank, CA 91505 (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Pay rate: $35.00/hr – $37.00/hr (Depending on experience; no expected overtime)
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM PST (40.0 hours/week; rare off-hours/weekend availability as urgent needs arise)
6-month contract: 10/26/2026 – 04/26/2027; potential for extension or conversion

Overview The Producer I / Associate Producer supports network executives and collaborates with external production partners to deliver unscripted programming for Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and Science Channel (including series like Deadliest Catch, Expedition Unknown, and Expedition X). Based in Burbank, CA on a hybrid schedule, this role balances cross-departmental collaboration (60%), data tracking/entry (30%), and creative inputs (10%). The position facilitates feedback on production schedules and cuts, coordinates marketing and press assets, manages delivery tracking, and supports program reversions in a fast-paced current production environment.

Job Specifications

• Coordinate communication and workflows with external production partners, arranging editorial calls and assisting EPs/VPs in delivering feedback on production schedules, treatments, rough cuts, and fine cuts
• Collaborate across internal departments (Press, Social, Programming, Marketing/Promotions, Ad Sales, Commerce, and International) to supply treatments, episode descriptions, cuts, delivery updates, and promotional assets
• Track project deliverables, maintain cloud-based file systems, and manage data entry for production schedules, show titles, parental ratings, and viewer advisories
• Assist with program reversions by drafting schedules, coordinating narration/talent, liaising with legal teams, collaborating with freelance writers, and supervising offline, online, and mix sessions
• Gather and organize submission materials, program clips, credits, and contact information for industry awards and competitions
• Utilize cloud file management tools and enterprise/AI software platforms (e.g., Microsoft CoPilot) to streamline daily administrative workflows
• 2 to 3+ years of unscripted television production experience required (network, production company, post-production, or field production environment)
• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (e.g., Associate degree with 3+ years' experience or High School Diploma with 5+ years' relevant TV production experience)
• Practical experience in television production, post-production workflows, editing pipelines, or field production required
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), cloud file storage systems, and familiarity with AI productivity platforms (Microsoft CoPilot, ChatGPT) required
• Excellent administrative, data tracking, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills required
