What you will do
In this vital role, you will be part of Client’s Transformative Digital Capabilities organization, supporting the Holistic Lab Execution Environment product suite across Experimental Data Capture, Sample Management, Instrument Data Acquisition(IDA), and related data analytics and dashboarding capabilities.

This role will help enable digital transformation across Process Development laboratories by supporting clear requirements definition, backlog readiness, testing, validation, documentation and analytics enablement for Experimental data capture and IDA capabilities. The EW Product Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, instrument owners, Functional Area Leads, IDA engineers, Reference Data teams, data analytics partners and software vendor partners to ensure laboratory and instrument data capture needs are clearly documented, developed, tested, validated, visualized, and delivered in alignment with business priorities.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, instrument owners, Functional Area Leads, IDA engineers, Reference Data teams, and software vendors to support delivery of HLEE and IDA capabilities across Process Development laboratories.
• Translate laboratory, experimental data capture, instrument data acquisition, and data analytics needs into clear, detailed, and testable business and functional requirements.
• Partner closely with HLEE Product owner in requirements gathering, documentation, backlog refinement, prioritization, and roadmap planning for HLEE and IDA capabilities.
• Work with Business Owners and Functional Area Leads to manage the backlog, clarify priorities, track dependencies, and provide visibility into onboarding and delivery progress.
• Collaborate with Reference Data and data engineering teams to manage and maintain instrument-related reference data, including instrument data URIs and other data elements required to support IDA workflows and downstream analytics.
• Create dashboards and reporting views for HLEE and IDA data using tools such as Databricks, Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent visualization platforms.
• Use SQL queries and database skills to explore, validate, analyze, and summarize HLEE and IDA data in support of requirements clarification, testing, validation, and business decision-making.
• Create, maintain, and validate test scripts based on approved requirements and expected business outcomes.
• Execute test scripts and support end-to-end validation of workflows, including test data, outputs, defects, evidence, analytics outputs, dashboards, and business acceptance.
• Document test results, defects, validation evidence, key decisions, and business approvals in alignment with project, documentation, and quality expectations.
• Support UAT, defect triage, issue resolution, business validation, and release readiness activities for HLEE and IDA capabilities.
• Use JIRA or similar tools to support requirements tracking, backlog management, issue tracking, defect management, and delivery transparency.
• Use ALM or equivalent testing and validation tools, where applicable, to document test execution, validation evidence, and approval status.
• Support continuous improvement of HLEE and IDA business analysis, testing, validation, analytics, documentation, and delivery practices.
• Communicate delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and data insights clearly across business and technical stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Science, Technology, Business Analysis, Laboratory Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, OR
• Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in Science, Technology, Business Analysis, Laboratory Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, OR
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in Science, Technology, Business Analysis, Laboratory Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with ELN, LIMS, Sample Management and Instrument data acquisition.
• Working knowledge of JIRA for requirements, backlog, issue, and defect tracking.
• Experience with ALM or equivalent testing and validation tools.
• Prior experience working with pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratory instruments.
• Experience supporting Process Development laboratory environments.
• Experience with data analytics, scientific data workflows, data pipelines, structured data capture from laboratory systems, or dashboard delivery for scientific or operational data.
• Experience working with Databricks, Spotfire, Tableau, SQL databases, or related analytics and visualization platforms in a laboratory or scientific data context is a PLUS.
• Science background in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a regulated or quality-focused environment.
