You will work as a core member of a multidisciplinary product team, alongside senior product managers, designers, engineers, and technologists, contributing to the development of tech and AI products that create real impact for clients across industries.

This full-time summer internship is for bachelors or master's students with graduation dates between December 2027 and August 2028 who are pursuing a degree in computer science, business, or a related field, and is expected to last 8-12 weeks.

You will support the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from collecting user and market insights to tracking product metrics, refining user stories, and monitoring adoption. Youll collaborate closely with engineering and design counterparts, develop a growing understanding of how great product teams operate, and build the foundational skills needed to contribute to complex, high-stakes product challenges.

Your work will help solve some of the most complex and high-impact challenges facing clients across industries. Collaborating across QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey and QuantumBlack Labs teams, youll help develop innovative AI and digital product capabilities and scalable enterprise solutions. Your contributions will directly support clients in accelerating AI adoption and solving complex business problems at scale.

Youll be based in our Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, or New York office for an 8-12 week internship during the Summer of 2027 as part of our global Product community. Working in cross-functional teams, youll collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, designers, and industry experts to deliver AI-enabled products. By partnering with clients from technical teams to C-level executives, youll help solve complex problems that drive tangible business value and begin to build your skills as a client-facing technologist.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, youll gain a holistic understanding of how great products enable advanced AI while collaborating with some of the leading technologists and AI practitioners in the industry.

• Currently pursuing a masters or bachelors degree in computer science, business, or a related field with a graduation date between December 2027and August 2028
• Experience in a product management or product analyst role, with exposure to digital and AI product development
• Ability to collect and organize user, market, and competitor insights to inform product decisions, track product metrics, and identify trends or issues in performance data
• Experience supporting product roadmap updates, organizing backlog items using prioritization inputs, and contributing to product launches and adoption monitoring
• Familiarity with writing or refining user stories and acceptance criteria, tracking release progress, and identifying delivery risks and dependencies with guidance
• A data-driven mindset - able to track and report core product metrics, support post-launch value tracking, and maintain inputs for financial or operational reporting
• Developing familiarity with GenAI tools and prompt patterns, with an eagerness to learn how emerging technologies can be applied to improve product discovery and delivery
• Comfort working alongside engineering teams and a willingness to build familiarity with technical delivery practices over time
• Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
