POSITION TITLE: Product and Systems Operations Supervisor

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Oversee the effective use of systems and operational processes by serving as a key liaison between internal business stakeholders, IT, and external partners. Ensure inventory accuracy and support product lifecycle activities, including planning and end-of-life (EOL) processes. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance system performance, data integrity, and business results. Function as a working supervisor, providing day-to-day guidance while actively contributing to operational and system-related activities pertaining to part number setup, maintenance, and product management functions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Systems & Operational Support

  • Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders, management, vendors, and IT team to support effective communication and system utilization.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and IT to coordinate issue resolution, system enhancements, and user support.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and workflow standards related to ERP product management and part number setup activities.
  • Support system performance initiatives and process improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and workflow consistency.
  • Analyze system and operational system needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist with implementing business and technical solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on system reliability, operational effectiveness, and business performance.

Product Line & Inventory Support

  • Support Product Line Managers (PLMs) with product planning, maintenance, inventory management, and end-of-life (EOL) activities for all Clearfield products.
  • Monitor and maintain part master-related data, reports, and processes to support inventory accuracy, visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce excess and obsolete inventory while supporting company goals for customer service and profitability.
  • Work with Quality Assurance (QA) and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) personnel to facilitate evaluation, rework, and disposition of returned materials.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Function as a working manager by actively participating in daily operational and system-related activities while overseeing departmental responsibilities.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, training, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely communication and issue resolution.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in systems, operations, inventory management, or product support may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Technical knowledge of fiber optic cable products and materials’ characteristics, preferred
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environment and documentation maintenance
  • ERP/MRP system experience, Epicor preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suites platform

SALARY RANGE: $73,299-$91,624-$109,949, Bonus eligible
