Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Application Specialist to join the Product Inspection team the primary purpose of this position is to provide application and Demo Lab support for the Product Inspection portfolio, ensuring continuity and responsiveness for customer testing, product evaluations, demonstrations, and product development activities. The successful candidate will work closely with Applications Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, execute application testing, document results, and support the identification of appropriate technical solutions. This role provides broad exposure to Product Inspection technologies, customer applications, and new product development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of the Product Inspection Demo Lab.
- Plan, prepare, and execute customer and internal application tests.
- Conduct feasibility evaluations and product demonstrations.
- Understand customer requirements and develop appropriate test plans.
- Configure equipment according to testing requirements.
- Analyze test results and provide technical findings and recommendations.
- Prepare and maintain testing records and technical documentation.
- Support Sales and Applications Engineering with technical input for customer opportunities.
- Support new product development, validation, and product launches.
- Coordinate testing priorities and laboratory activities to meet turnaround requirements.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is available, properly configured, and ready for testing.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation of application expertise.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Commercial, and Service teams.
- Troubleshoot application and product-related technical issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, documentation, and team efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Technical background in engineering, applied science, instrumentation, automation, or a related field.
- Experience in a technical, laboratory, applications, engineering, or customer-support environment.
- Strong hands-on technical aptitude.
- Ability to learn new equipment and technologies quickly.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into structured testing solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze test results and develop technical recommendations.
- Strong technical documentation skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

- Experience with customer demonstrations, application testing, product validation, or feasibility studies is preferred.
- Familiarity with Product Inspection equipment or applications is preferred.
- Experience supporting Sales or Applications Engineering is preferred.
- Exposure to continuous improvement or process automation is preferred.
