Position Summary:
The Product Architect provides the overall technical vision and architectural leadership for a large-scale federal platform supporting secure filing intake, validation, dissemination, and search capabilities. This role defines the end-to-end product architecture, ensuring that cloud-native microservices, event-driven design, and agentic AI capabilities are seamlessly integrated into both the platform and the software development lifecycle. The Product Architect serves as the primary technical authority, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product management, engineering leadership, and multiple Agile delivery teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-performance solutions that meet federal regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the overall product architecture and long-term technical roadmap across all platform capabilities.
- Design scalable cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures supporting filing workflows and data processing.
- Architect the integration of agentic AI technologies, including Amazon Bedrock Agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP), into product capabilities and software engineering processes.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to decompose epics into technically executable solution increments.
- Provide architectural leadership and resolve cross-team technical decisions involving application development, cloud infrastructure, data architecture, and security.
- Ensure platform designs satisfy performance, scalability, accessibility (Section 508), and federal regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, architectural decision records (ADRs), interface specifications, and technical standards.
- Mentor Technical Leads and senior engineers while reviewing high-impact solution designs for architectural consistency and quality.
Minimum Experience:
- 10+ years of software architecture and product architecture experience.
- Experience leading architecture for large-scale enterprise or federal government systems.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership across multiple Agile development teams.
